Desktop Audioconferencing
For times when you need to have a group discussion but one or more of the participants are at other locations, desktop audioconferencing is a cheap and efficient solution. A high-quality speaker phone unit will enable remote participants in group meetings to be heard, and to hear what's said by those present.
Central Audio Visual Services may be contacted for the loan of these audioconferencing units.
If you need to set up a conference call with participants at more than one remote location, Telstra offers the ConferLink service.
The operator will ask for details of the conference (date and time, contact person's name and telephone number at each site and billing details) and will establish connections at the appointed time. If there is a problem with connectivity during the conference, the operator can be contacted by pressing the hash key.
